Legendary Head Coach Pat Head Summitt passed away this morning.  Reports are saying it is due to complications of her Early On Set Dementia Alzheimer Type.

30 years ago, give or take a bit, I was introduced to 2 series - one a TV show the other a book trilogy - that would grab my attention and hold on to it, and would eventually serve to introduce me to the world of fandom and fan fiction.
